Candle Safety and Guidance Notes

Do not use a bottle candle to light cigarettes or joints.

Never place a bottle candle on sound systems or amplifiers.

Do not go to sleep while a bottle candle is burning.

Extinguish a bottle candle before leaving the room or moving it.

Maintain at least 10 cm of space between bottle candles.

Keep clothing and hair away from the flame.

Avoid placing a bottle candle in drafty areas.

Avoid using or handling a bottle candle while intoxicated.

Never place a bottle candle under shelves.

Place a bottle candle on a solid, flat, and stable surface.

Always burn a bottle candle within direct sight.

Keep a bottle candle away from soft furnishings.

Keep a bottle candle out of reach of children and pets.

Safety Storage: Always store lamp oil in a locked location, out of reach of

children and pets. Even a small sip of lamp oil can cause fatal lung damage.

In Case of Ingestion: If lamp oil is swallowed, immediately contact the NHS or a
